The Tryon Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant is aging and needs major upgrades to continue to reliably meet Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) water quality requirements. Lake Oswego and Portland are exploring building a new wastewater treatment facility to replace the old plant under a Public-Private Partnership with EPCOR Foothills Water Partners. The proposed new facility will deliver significant added benefits for the community at a similar cost as making necessary upgrades to the existing plant.
